Software Lead

As software lead at KappaZeta your mission is to build robust and scalable products and services that empower clients to improve their understanding of Earth’s land cover and its changes over time.
Your responsibilities will include both hands-on software development and team leadership. You will:
- Design, develop and test software to build products and services based on satellite data and AI-models.
- Closely follow existing and emerging technologies, industry trends, best practices and incorporate them into the development process as appropriate.
- Supervise and mentor the software development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Lead the full software development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and maintainability.
- Implement strategies for load balancing and efficient utilization of computational resources.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of documentation for software architecture, design decisions, coding practices and release notes.

Forestry Domain Lead

As a forestry domain insider at KappaZeta your mission is to maximize the usefulness of Earth Observation data for the forestry and carbon market. To achieve that you:
- Lead the development of new Earth Observation products serving the forestry and carbon crediting markets
- Are confident in your expertise in the forestry domain and can provide insights to drive business development and sales
- Manage Earth Observation projects related to forestry and carbon sequestration
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met
- Work closely with our team and cultivate a collaborative work environment
- Identify and understand regulations affecting the forestry and carbon markets
